Bayi (Nyingchi)
Bayi ( Tibetan བྲག་ ཡིབ་ གྲོང་ ཆུས ། , inscription after Wylie brgyad gcig , Chinese 巴 宜 区 , Pinyin Bāyí Qū ) is a municipality in the city of Nyingchi in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . The city district has an area of 8536.2 km² and has around 40,500 inhabitants (end of 2007).
Administrative structure
At the community level, Bayi consists of four large communities , two communities and one nationality community. These are:
- Bayi municipality (八一 镇), capital, seat of the city government;
- Large municipality of Bêba (百 巴 镇);
- Greater community Lunang (鲁朗镇);
- Greater community Nyingchi (林芝镇);
- Community Puqu (布久乡);
- Mainri municipality (米瑞 乡);
- Güncang parish of Monba (更 章 门巴族 乡).
