photography

Bean bag instead of a tripod (here for a macro shot )

Photographers use beanbags (also: "T-Bag") as a replacement for a photo tripod with long exposure times. The beanbag is placed on a wall, a branch or a similar surface. The camera is then pressed into the beanbag and aligned. Then the remote or self-timer is operated. The advantage of such a beanbag is that the camera can be kept extremely steady even when it is triggered directly. Rice, beans, peas, corn and similar products are used.

Seating

Also beanbags are referred to in English as bean bags.

ammunition

Flat leather sacks, filled with fine lead shot, loaded in shotgun shell cases, serve security forces as "non-lethal" projectiles for defense against violent people. The term “beanbag” is used as well as “flying boxing glove”.

game

Bean Bag is a throwing game originated in the USA (also known there as "cornhole") that is mostly played outside. Similar to the horseshoe game , the aim is to throw small sacks of beans at a target. It is important to throw four bags ('toss') in such a way that they land in the hole of a board opposite. It is thrown alternately, each team has 4 bags. Rule of the game: A hit in the hole counts 3 points, a hit on the board 1 point. The opposing team's points can cancel each other out in a round. If a player hits 3 of the 4 bags in the hole in a round, one speaks of a 'three-popped', if he hits all 4 bags, the player creates a 'four-banged'. The winner is the team with 21 points.
