Beate Bischler
Beate Bischler (born June 17, 1968 in Schwenningen am Neckar ) is a severely visually impaired (2-5% visual remainder) judoka .
Career
At the Paralympics in Athens in 2004 she won the bronze medal in judo in the +70 kg class. She won silver and bronze at the World Championship for (sighted) seniors over 30 in Vienna in 2004 in the +78 kg class.
For winning the bronze medal at the 2004 Paralympic Games, she received the silver laurel leaf from Federal President Horst Köhler on March 16, 2005 .
