Beat factory

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Beatfabrik was a Berlin rap crew.

The group developed out of the writer crew QB in the late 1990s and initially consisted of the rappers Prinz Porno , Kid Kobra, Big ADI as well as the DJ CV-Scratch and the producers Sash and Kick. Later on, Smexer and DJ MK 1 joined them, who had organized the gigs with his company Microfett. Mainly Kid Kobra, Smexer and Prinz Porno acted on the microphone, while MK 1 took on the role of mixer. Big ADI and CV-Scratch left the group for musical reasons and continued as solo artists. The first two albums An der Front and Wortshots were self-released, while the later ones came out through Royal Bunker .

Post-Beatfabrik time

When Prinz Porno wanted to stop rapping in 2004, the remaining members called the Beatfabrik High Society and released their last album, Jet Set, on the Jubeko label under this name . Then Smexer withdrew from the music business for the time being and devoted himself to his passion as a graffiti artist. In 2005, Prinz Porno announced his "resignation from his resignation", called himself Prinz Pi and founded the label No Peanuts , on which Sash also participated, while Kid Kobra released his only solo album 'Deutschland ist Krank' in 2006, and Big ADI as part of the Royalbunker -Streetoffensive brought out a crunk album together with the group HACK . The remaining members of the former Beatfabrik are still active in the hip-hop sector, so Kick and his production company Mantikor are bringing out the CD / DVD series 'Rap City Berlin'.
