DJ MK 1 , bourgeois: Martin Klaus , (born February 21, 1978 in Berlin ) is a German DJ who also performs under the names DJ Klaus and MK One .

Life

Martin Klaus was born in Berlin in 1978. His parents enabled him to have a musical education that ranged from piano to drums. Inspired by the graffiti scene and by band colleagues who were also performing, he got into DJing at the age of 17.

Since 1996 DJ MK 1 has been working as a hip-hop DJ, organizer, producer and remixer in Berlin. With Kool Savas , Marcus Staiger and Fuat , he founded the label Mikrokosmos in 1998 , which was later expanded to become the booking agency mikrofett and organized tours and events for many renowned artists.

From 2001 to 2003 he organized the Berlin party series "Lost Elements". As a DJ for the Berlin rap crew Beatfabrik ( Prinz Pi , Kobra, Smexer), DJ MK 1 accompanied numerous live performances and tours.

Under his alter ego "DJ Klaus" he is Atzen Musik's house DJ . DJ MK 1 gives DJ workshops at the Landesmusikakademie in Berlin. He is the founder and co-operator of “Tonstudio-Berlin.de”.
