Fuat (real name Fuat Ergin, * 1972 in Berlin ) is a Turkish rapper .

Musical career

Fuat's career began in 1993, initially writing texts in English; In 1995 he made his first attempts at walking with Turkish texts. He joined the West Berlin group MOR (Masters of Rap) and had his first publications with ypsilon musix . Between 1998 and 2003 Fuat published the HassIckDir? -Rows 1, 2 and 3, Bonobo 1 Panzer and Rapüstad (accompanied by Killa Hakan ). It also found its place on MOR-NLP and NEP and Fettfleck Sampler Vol.1. In 2002 he had a guest appearance on the sampler The World according to RZA . In 2004 Fuat decided to settle in Turkey and left Germany. The Istanbul label "Iremrecords" signed him in 2005 and he released his first album Her ayin Elemani in Turkey.

In 2019 Fuat released " Susamam " (German: "I can't be silent") with 19 other musicians . In the 15-minute song, the Turkish musicians name various social problems in Turkey. The initiative goes back to the rapper Saniser . "Susamam" is divided into several chapters; it is about violence against women, restricted freedom of expression and grievances in the political system. In the chapter "Nature" Fuat sings about the effects of environmental pollution and deforestation and thus follows on from the protests against the clearing of the forests in the Ida Mountains for a gold mine.
