Becerra has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . There she is a member of the Committee on Development , the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality , the Petitions Committee , the Subcommittee on Human Rights , the Delegation to the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee and the Delegation to the European Parliamentary Assembly.
