Beau Danube

Beau Danube (originally Le beau Danube bleu for On the beautiful blue Danube ) is the title of a ballet in one act by Léonide Massine ( libretto and choreography ) that premiered on May 17, 1924 at the Théâtre de la Cigale, Paris. Music: Johann Strauss (arranged by Roger Désormière ), set design: Wladimir Polunin (based on Constantin Guys ), costumes: Comte Étienne de Beaumont.
