Stele of the Maati, which calls the treasurer Bebi

Bebi was an ancient Egyptian vizier who officiated under Mentuhotep II . Bebi is known with certainty only from a relief block that was found in the mortuary temple of the ruler in Deir el-Bahari and shows him, his name and parts of the vizier's statue. There is a treasurer who also dates roughly under Mentuhotep II and is perhaps to be equated with Bebi. If this equation is correct, a career from a treasurer to a vizier can be reconstructed.
