The so-called Bedd Arthur stone circle (also Beddarthur - German "Arthur's grave" ) is located in the Preseli Hills , northwest of Mynachlog-ddu (also Mynachlogddu), near Cardigan in Pembrokeshire in Wales .

The stone circle overlooking the Carn Meini dolerite rock is not closed, but rather a horseshoe-shaped oval, which has led to speculation as to whether this shape influenced the Stonehenge bluestone horseshoe .

Bedd Arthur consists of 13 small (only about 0.6 m high) standing in situ and two fallen stones.

The name comes from the legendary King Arthur .
