Behçet Aysan

Behçet Safa Aysan (* 1949 in Ankara ; † July 2, 1993 in Sivas ) was a Turkish - Alevi poet .

Behçet Aysan attended the Selimiye Askeri Ortaokulu and Kuleli Askeri Lisesi . In 1968 he went to the Ankara Tip Faküllei as a student soldier. He studied medicine , but interrupted his studies in 1968. He worked as a doctor in the SSK Yenisehir . He published numerous poems; by 1990 five volumes of poetry had been published.

In 1993 he was killed in an arson attack on the Madımak Hotel .
