Ratut

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Beile Ratut (* 1972 in Finland ) is a Finnish writer and literary translator who writes in German.

Life

Beile Ratut studied economics, literature and Scandinavian studies in Finland and Germany. Her literary works have been published by Ruhland Verlag . Further essayistic texts appear in the features section of the daily mail . Ratut's texts are characterized by a metaphorical language rich in images with symbolic motifs. Her texts reflect male and female interpretations of the world and identity in crisis: people who fathom their fragile selves and are constantly confronted with decay, search, departure, withdrawal and flight. Dreamlike scenes mix with gloomy realities and create a magical realism that is sometimes characterized by a Kafkaesque atmosphere. In Ratut's philosophical prose there are references to Friedrich Nietzsche and the Bible.
