The Museum of the Jewish Diaspora

Beit Hatəfutsot or Beth Hatəfutsoth ( Hebrew בֵּית הַתְּפוּצוֹת, translit .: Beyt ha-Tfūtsōt, d. H. "Diaspora House"), the Nahum Goldmann Diaspora Museum , is located on the Tel Aviv University campus in Ramat Aviv , Israel and opened in 1978.

The idea of ​​the museum goes back to Nahum Goldmann , founder and long-time president of the World Jewish Congress . Here the history of the communities of the Jewish diaspora around the world from the time of the Babylonian exile to the present is explained using modern technology and audio-visual displays . The museum does not contain any artifacts and is organized thematically. When it opened on May 11, 1978, it was described by many experts as one of the world's most innovative museums.
