The BelAZ-7557 ( Russian БелАЗ-7557 ) is a large dump truck from the Belarusian manufacturer BelAZ , which was produced in series until 2012. It is designed for the transport of overburden in opencast mines or for operation on large construction sites such as dams or industrial plants.

The BelAZ-7557 reaches a maximum of 50 km / h and is powered by a twelve-cylinder diesel engine, either a QST30-C from Cummins or a 12V2000 from MTU Friedrichshafen . The QST30-C is a V12 four-stroke diesel engine with a displacement of 26.8 liters that develops a maximum of 783 kW (1050 hp) at 2100 rpm. The maximum torque is 4640 Nm at 1300 rpm. The engine output transmits a six-speed automatic transmission with hydraulic torque converter of the manufacturer Allison Transmission and a propeller shaft to the drive axle with planetary -Radnaben countershaft . The turning radius is 11 m. The suspension works hydropneumatically. The dump truck is 10.35 m long, 5.4 m wide and 5.34 m high; the wheelbase is 4.7 m. The driver's cab , secured against falling objects in accordance with FOPS safety regulations, is located above the engine compartment above the left wheel arch and can be reached via a ladder-staircase combination at the front of the vehicle. It can be equipped with air conditioning and can accommodate two people. The manufacturer offers different tipping bodies with different dimensions and with different capacities. Depending on the version, the tipping skip holds 37.7, 44.5 or 75 m³ (with the extended version) and can be moved from the horizontal into the tipping position with two hydraulic cylinders. The maximum payload is 90 tons, the manufacturer specifies the empty weight of the BelAZ-7557 as 74 tons, which results in a permissible total weight of 164 tons.
