Light contrast
In photography, light contrast is the difference in brightness in the illumination of a motif (see also lighting ). The light contrast can be measured by exposure meters that are suitable for light measurement .
A light contrast always arises when the lighting of a subject is uneven. This can be, for example, the difference between the side of an object facing the light and the side facing away from the light. Differences in the distance of a subject from the light source also lead to a light contrast (e.g. the spatial depth of a scene brightened with the camera flash).
