The Belgica Glacier is a 13 km long glacier on the Graham Coast of West Antarctic Graham Land . On the Kiev Peninsula, it flows north-west to the Trooz Glacier , which it reaches east of Lancaster Hill .
Participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937), led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill , carried out an initial survey. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the Belgica , the ship of the expedition of the same name (1897-1899) of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery , which operated among other things in the area of the glacier.
