The Brunen IT Service GmbH (formerly Belinea GmbH ), headquartered Wittmund took on 1 October 2008 as a separate company to operate, and is a manufacturer of notebooks, netbooks, monitors and personal computers.
From around 1991 to 2008 Belinea was the brand for monitors and notebooks from Maxdata AG. The monitors under the name Belinea were market leaders in Germany for many years (according to GFK study 06). However, in 2008, Maxdata filed for bankruptcy and was broken up as a result.
The German Brunen IT Group then acquired the trademark rights to the name Belinea and founded its own subsidiary, Belinea GmbH, which continued to develop products under the name Belinea. After the takeover by Brunen IT, notebooks, PCs and screens continued to be sold under the name Belinea. Since the takeover, however, only notebooks and PCs have been manufactured by themselves (at bluechip Computer and Casarus ); screens have since been manufactured by a licensee. In the 2009/2010 financial year, Belinea GmbH was renamed ECT GmbH . For its part, the Brunen IT Group was founded in October 2010 by the PC manufacturer bluechip Computer from Thuringia taken over, which previously manufactured Belinea brand notebooks and PCs.
Brunen IT uses the ONE brand and sells its products directly over the Internet, which is why the Belinea brand, which is sold through distributors, is for sale.
