Bellefire is a former Irish girl group . Despite several successful singles, commercial success was largely absent. For this reason, the pop band ended their musical collaboration at the end of 2004.

history

In 2000, Bellefire was formed with the line-up of Kelly Kilfeather, Tara Lee, Cathy Newell and Ciara Newell. It was the successor to the band Chit Chat founded by Louis Walsh the year before together with Paula O Neill .

After the finished album was sold by the record label Virgin shortly before its release on the European market after two successful single releases , Tara Lee left the band. Virgin had seen no prospect of commercial success in Bellefire, which was little known outside of Ireland and Southeast Asia. Bellefire changed the record label and in 2004 the three of them produced a new album. When the success of the single releases was moderate, the release of the album in Great Britain was repeatedly postponed and later finally canceled. Although an official separation never took place, Bellefire ended the collaboration at the end of 2004 after completing the Asia tour.
