Belo is a municipality in Cameroon in the Nord-Ouest region in the Boyo district .

geography

Belo is located in northwest Cameroon, about 100 kilometers from the Nigerian border. It covers an area of ​​346 square kilometers. Belo is located on the P24 provincial road, 50 kilometers north of the provincial capital Bamenda .

According to the 2005 census, the entire municipality of Belo had 40,757 inhabitants, 10,130 of them in the core municipality of Belo Town. The current population of the entire municipality is 88,664 inhabitants, which corresponds to a population density of 256 people per square kilometer of area.
