Belqas ( Arabic بلقاس, DMG Bilqās ) is a city in the Nile Delta in the governorate ad-Daqahliyya with approx. 126,000 inhabitants.

economy
Part of the city's economy is the resort of Gamasa. The city is also dependent on its natural gas fields in the Abu Mady region. Belqas remains a mainly agricultural region, although there are some industrial activities such as sugar, rice and plastic production.
