The Belser Verlag in Stuttgart is a publisher founded in 1835 by the bookseller Christian Jakob Belser, which publishes in particular on art and cultural history. Christian Belser (1802–1885) founded the Belsersche publishing and printing company in Stuttgart in 1835 . The business went to Carl Walcker (* 1836) in 1867. His son Carl Walcker junior became a partner. The publishing program consisted of prayer books , sermon books and edifying literature of Protestant theology . From 1913 to 1975 the company was located in its own publishing house on Augustenstrasse (which was completely destroyed in World War II and rebuilt after the war) and from 1992 in the Franckh-Kosmos-Verlag building.
