Ben Adams (born November 22, 1981 ; actually Benjamin Anthony Edward Stevens Adams ) is a British singer.
He is the youngest of the three remaining members of boy group A1 .
Adams first attended highgate school. After completing the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), he moved to Westminster Under School at the age of 16. There he was a member of the school choir and later also a choirboy of St. Margaret's Choir at Westminster Abbey .
In 1999 he founded the pop band A1 together with Mark Read , Paul Marazzi and Christian Ingebrigsten . The joint project was immediately successful. The first single reached the top ten in the British charts. Two number one hits followed in 2000 .
Together with A1, Adams was named Best Newcomer at the 2001 Brit Awards . After three albums and the departure of Marazzi, the band became quieter in 2002.
Adams devoted himself to writing his own songs for a few years. At the end of May 2005 his first solo single was released under the title Sorry .
