Ben Höfer

Ben Höfer (born July 15, 1990 in Lübeck ) is a German surfer who currently lives in Australia as a professional surfer .

Life

Höfer was first in Australia as a tourist, where he promptly showed his talent.

In 2011 he won the Junior World Championship in North Narrabeen .

In 2013 he moved to Brisbane , where he was promoted to the Professional Surfing League that same year. At the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast , Höfer made it straight to the final. He has had many sponsors since his first competition, including Quiksilver , Rockstar , Modom Surf and Von Zipper Gatti Sunglasses.

In 2014 Höfer won many competitions and was named Newcomer of the Year 2014, and in 2015 he received the ASP Award.

It is now firmly in the top 10 in the world. His annual income is estimated to be in the seven-figure range.
