Waldfrieden Benedictine Monastery

The Monastery Waldfrieden ( English Waldfrieden Monastery ), and St. Boniface called Waldfrieden, is a Benedictine monastery in the Namibian town of Omaruru .

It was founded in 1998 by Gernot Wottawah OSB , the abbot of the Sacred Heart Abbey Inkamana from Vryheid , near the Namibian city of Omaruru .

Mission Benedictines work in this monastery as part of the Benedictine Congregation of St. Ottilien . The monastery operates a primary school with an attached boarding school and a secondary school up to university entrance qualification.

The current superior is P. Hermenegild Maier.
