Benedito Azêdo
Benedito de Jesus Azêdo (born February 17, 1934 in Parintins ) is a Brazilian lawyer and journalist.
Career
From 1973 to 1976 he was prefect of the city of Parintins (Amazon). During his tenure, the Palmares district was built, where inland immigrants were settled, and the fish market. He later served as the Attorney General of the Amazon State .
The Praça Benedito Azêdo in the Palmares district of Parintins was named after him in 2009.
