Benjamin Kwakye

Benjamin Kwakye (born January 7, 1967 in Accra , Ghana ) is a lawyer and author in Ghana. His work as a writer has won the Commonwealth Writers' Prize several times .

education

Kwakye attended Dartmouth College , Hanover, New Hampshire , USA and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) in 1990. In 1993 he was awarded the doctorate ( Doctor Juris ) by the Harvard Law School , Massachusetts, USA.

In 1999 Kwakye attended the London School of Economics at the University of London .

Career

Kwakye joined the Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur law firm immediately after completing his doctorate in law, practicing a variety of disciplines. He held this position between September 1993 and August 1997.

From September 1997 he worked as a consultant for Abbott Laboratories , a global company in the health sector. Kwakye left this position in April 2004 to take a position as a consultant for the Chicagoarea company , which he still holds today.

Kwakye began his career as an author shortly after graduating and made his debut in 1998 with his work "The clothes of nakedness".
