Benni - a bear for all cases (Original title: PB Bear and Friends) is a British stop-motion - puppet animated series, which was produced between 1997 and 1998. The series is based on the children's books by Lee Davis .

The aging theater diva Katharina thinks back to her time on stage. She tells the children Feger, Suki, Sid and Benny about it and wants to arouse their interest in performing a play herself. So they are later planning a theater production of William Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet . However, Katharina is not always completely satisfied with the rehearsals and therefore intervenes theatrically in what is happening, which often leads to funny ideas and experiences.
Production and publication
The series was produced in the UK by DK Vision and Hill Roberts Films between 1997 and 1998. This resulted in 26 episodes.
The series was first broadcast on television on January 2, 1998 on Channel 5 television. The German first broadcast took place on June 23, 1998 on KIKA . The series was also published on DVD and an educational computer game was developed for the series.
