Benno Fischer
Benno Joachim Theodor Fischer (born April 11, 1828 in Dresden ; † 1865 there ) was a German history and genre painter.
Benno Fischer studied at the Dresden Academy of Arts from 1848 to 1853 and from 1853 to 1856 in Julius Hübner's studio . His sister Elisabeth's husband became his childhood friend Hans Anton Williard in 1860 .
After completing his studies, he worked as a history and genre painter in Dresden. From 1849 to 1860 he took part in the art exhibitions in Dresden, and in 1860 also in Berlin. He painted u. a. “The Widow” (1856), “Bahnhäuschen”, “Wanderbursch” and “Holzleserin” (1858), “On a Bächlein's Edge” (1859). He died at the age of 37.
