Benson Ridge is a rugged ridge in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . It rises 8 km west of the northern end of the Holland Range between the Robb Glacier and the Bondeson Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using tellurometer measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after the American glaciologist Carl S. Benson (* 1927), who for the United States Antarctic Research Program operated on Roosevelt Island between 1961 and 1962 .
