Johannisberg area

The area Johannisberg is a wine-growing area in the wine-growing region Rheingau in Hesse .

It is the only area in the Rheingau wine-growing region and consists of 12 large layers and 120 individual layers . The variety ratio therefore corresponds exactly to that of the entire wine-growing region.

Confusion with the famous Schloss Johannisberg location should be avoided.

Vineyards: 3097 hectares , of which the yield: 3029 hectares

Layers: 120 single layers, 12 large layers

  2. Pinot Noir 12.45%
  3. Other white 6.12%
  4. Other red 2.89%

Yield per hectare: Marketable wine: 100 hl / ha, average 10 years: 78.7 hl / ha
