Lists on the subject |
The Beretta 93R is an Italian in-line fire pistol .
technology
The pistol is based on the Beretta 92 self-loading pistol . The R stands for raffica ( Italian : burst of fire, sheaf ). In contrast to the basic version, the 93 model is able to fire three-shot bursts. Row fire pistols can hardly be controlled in the unlimited continuous fire mode as long as no shoulder rest is mounted. This also applies to the Beretta 93R, which is very light and compact for a fully automatic pistol. The modifications compared to the basic version include a selection lever for the type of fire, an extended barrel with a muzzle brake and an improvised handle in front of the trigger guard. Magazines of 15 or 20 rounds are supplied with the weapon, each of which protrudes from the handle and provides additional support. A foldable shoulder rest can optionally be attached.
