Berg Propulsion is a Swedish company. It specializes in the development and manufacture of propulsion components for the shipping industry. In particular, the company produces customer-specific controllable pitch propellers , propeller pods and transverse thruster systems, including the associated control units.
The drive components are produced in Sweden and Singapore . Berg Propulsion maintains a worldwide sales and service network for customer care.
When Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 , Berg Propulsion hired as a co-sponsor of the team Puma Ocean Racing .
In 2013, Caterpillar took over Berg Propulsion and incorporated it into its CAT Propulsion division.
