Church of Hönö

Hönö is a place ( Tatort ) and an island in the archipelago off Gothenburg , which belongs to the municipality of Öckerö . It is located in the province of Västra Götalands län and the historic province of Bohuslän .

The island is connected by bridges to the island of Öckerö in the north and to the island of Fotö in the south. A car ferry runs at daily intervals from Hjuvik on the island of Hisingen west of Gothenburg to Hönö.

Economy and Infrastructure

Honokaka

There are three harbors on Hönö, Klåva, Röd and Heden. The largest of the harbors, Klåva, is the home port of some fishing boats. There is also a fishing museum there. There is a historic windmill in the Heden area .

A bread that is widespread throughout Sweden is named after the island of Hönö, the Hönökaka.
