Öckerö is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götalands län and in the historical province of Bohuslän . The place is also the main town of the municipality of the same name .
The name Öckerö also denotes the island on which the place is located. It is located in the northern Gothenburg archipelago . The island can be reached from the neighboring islands of Hönö and Hälsö , which are connected to Öckerö by a bridge. From Hönö out there are free ferries of Vägverkets by Lilla Varholmen on Hisingen .
