Gothenburg archipelago
The Gothenburg Archipelago is an archipelago in the Kattegat west of the city of Gothenburg in Sweden .

It consists of a large number of small islands called skerries off the coast. A distinction is made between the northern and the southern archipelago. The northern archipelago belongs to the municipality of Öckerö , the southern part to the municipality of Gothenburg . The northern part of the archipelago is served by ferry connections from Lilla Varholmen , the southern part from Saltholmen . There are also bridge connections between some islands.
