Sjumansholmen is an island in the southern part of the Gothenburg archipelago . It is its smallest built island. Sjumansholmen belongs to the municipality of Gothenburg in the Swedish province of Västra Götalands län . The island is built on with about 30 holiday homes that are only inhabited in summer.

Between 1929 and 1935, the Communist Party of Sweden, with the support of the trade union federation, organized tent camps on the island for their children's organization and educational work. In 1933 the association Arbetarbarnens ö (island of workers' children ) was founded. After the Second World War , permanent accommodation was increasingly built on Sjumansholmen. At the beginning of the 1950s, an association acquired the building from the workers' union. The owners of the holiday homes are members of this association and joint tenants of the island. The association operates a community center, a sauna and a playground. Sjumansholmen receives water and electricity via lines from the island of Donsö . There has been a regular ferry connection to Saltholmen since the 1980s .
