Hundeskär , also Hunneskär or Hunneskar , is a small uninhabited island in the Kattegat that belongs to Sweden .

It is located in the Gothenburg archipelago west of Gothenburg in the province of Västra Götalands län south of the entrance to the Gothenburg harbor and belongs to the municipality of Gothenburg . The island of Stockholmen is located southwest of Hundeskär . Hundeskär consists of a rock cliff and is practically without vegetation. The dimensions of the island are about 60 by 60 meters.

The ferry routes Göteborg– Kiel and Göteborg– Frederikshavn pass north of Hundeskär .
