location

The property is located on Berger Dorfstrasse in Wickrathberg.

architecture

The object is a transversely closed half-timbered house from the 18th century with an eaves stand with a gable roof . It is four-axis and two-storey with a shop fitting in the left part of the house, the former gate passage.

The building is a remnant of a courtyard part of the eastern, by the Protestant church to the north withdrawing row of houses in Oberdorf. It documents not only the rural style of construction in this area, but also the custom, which was widespread in the 19th century, of "upgrading" half-timbered houses by facing a brick facade on the street front.
