Bergerheide is a location in the northwest of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal.
Location and description
Bergerheide is located in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district of Wuppertal in the Beek residential area , southwest of the Katernberg location and west of Hof Beek on Pahlkestrasse , which was a historic coal route .
history
The name goes back to an old farm name " Auf dem Berge ". In 1815/16 the place had 26 inhabitants. The location is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824.
In 1832 the Bergerheide belonged to the Dorper Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the city of Elberfeld . Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as Ackergut categorized place was as on Berger Heath called and had at this time two houses and four farm buildings. At that time, 13 residents lived in the village, five of them Catholic and eight Protestant.
The restaurant "Haus Bergerheide", located on the historic Kohlenweg, was closed in spring 2008.
Today's Bergerheide settlement
