Mountain factory (Harzgerode)
The mountain factory is a listed building in the town of Harzgerode in Saxony-Anhalt in the Harz region .

It is located at Marktplatz 5 on the east side of the city’s market square. It is registered as an administrative building in the local register of monuments.
Architecture and history
The two-storey half-timbered house was probably built in the early 1700. It served temporarily as the seat of the mining authority , the so-called Bergfaktorei . A short utility wing is attached to the administration and residential building on the south side. The half-timbered facade is elaborately designed and provided with the half- timbered elements of the half man , ladder balustrade and diamond pattern . In addition, there is filler wood and a bevel on the threshold .
