Mountain factory

A Bergfaktorei was a trading post in the mining industry. It was a magazine for pit and metallurgical materials sold, mining products, ankaufte material for the pits and both outsourced. Bergmagazin (granaries for miner's families) were also connected to it .

Mountain factors were commercial mine officials, for example Georg Illing in Clausthal , Peter Engelbrecht in Ilsenburg, Ernst Friedrich Rettberg am Süntel , Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Lindig in the Döhlener Basin and Christian Julius Wackerhagen or Wilhelm Köhler in the Harz Mountains .
