The Visbeker Damm runs through Bergstrup and, since 2009, the newly built Vechta north bypass, which runs right through the town. The citizens of Bergstrup had a dispute with the city of Vechta over the planned bypass for years. After all, the street was built with special structural measures such as noise barriers.
