bergundstieg is a German-language magazine that has changed its subtitle from risk management from mountain sports to people • mountains • insecurity.

It was founded in 1992 by the Austrian Alpine Association. From 2005 the magazine was published jointly by the Austrian, German and Swiss Alpine Club , and the South Tyrol Alpine Club has also been involved since autumn 2007 .

The magazine is only available by subscription via bergundstieg.at or bergundstieg.blog, not for sale. It appears four times a year (summer, autumn, spring, winter).
