Berkshire and Hampshire Extension Railway

The Berkshire and Hampshire Extension Railway was a railway company in England in the county of Berkshire , west of London.

The company received the right to build a railway line from Hungerford to Devizes on August 13, 1859 . This extended the existing connection of the Berkshire and Hampshire Railway from Reading to Hungerford. The line was put into operation on November 11, 1862. The Great Western Railway took over the company on August 10, 1882.
