Bernal González Acosta
Bernal Gabriel González Acosta (born June 10, 1973 in San José ) is a Costa Rican chess player .
He won the Costa Rican individual championship several times. He played for Costa Rica at eleven Chess Olympiads : 1990 , 1994 , 2000 , 2004 to 2018 . At the 1994 Chess Olympiad , he received an individual silver medal for his result of 9 points from 11 games on the third board.
In 1993 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). He was awarded the title of Grand Master (GM) in 2015. He has been a FIDE trainer since 2005 .
