Bernard Arens

Bernard Arens (born July 24, 1873 in Hosingen , Luxembourg ; † February 1, 1954 in Cologne ) was a Luxembourgish Catholic theologian and German-speaking writer .

Life

Bernard Arens was a member of the Jesuit order . He worked u. a. as a teacher in Feldkirch, Austria and at the theological faculty in Valkenburg, Netherlands . Arens' specialty was missiology ; from 1912 to 1916 and from 1925 to 1933 he was in charge of the magazine " Die Catholic Missions " published by the " Papal Work for the Propagation of Faith ". In addition to a number of theological specialist works, he also published narrative works on topics from Catholic missionary history and translated from French into German .
