Bernardo Rosengurtt Gurvich (* 1916 ; † 1985 ) was a Uruguayan botanist . His botanical-mycological author's abbreviation is “ Roseng. "

Rosengurtt taught as a professor at the agricultural science faculty of the Universidad de la República (UdelaR), of which he was later also dean . He dealt with the study of natural meadows and created a grass taxonomy . Among his publications is the 1970 Gramíneas uruguayas . The herbarium MFVA of the Faculty of Agriculture, which is the largest of its kind in Uruguay in terms of native vascular plants, is named after Rosengurtt . The Estación Experimental Profesor Bernardo Rosengurtt in Bañado de Medina , an experimental station of the agricultural science faculty of the UdelaR, is named after him.
