Bernd Perner

Bernd A. Perner is a German former basketball player .

career

Perner played for the sports association DJK Rosenheim in the 2nd basketball league and made the jump into the German U21 national team. In 1986 he moved to FC Bayern Munich and rose in the 1986/87 season with FCB as champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South in the basketball Bundesliga . He then played for Bayern in the highest German league. Perner later played for MTSV Schwabing before returning to Rosenheim in 1991. In 1993 he withdrew from the first men's team of the SB DJK.

Perner later became the first chairman of the SB DJK Rosenheim. His daughter Sophie also pursued a competitive career in basketball and became a junior national player.
