Bernd Schnieder (ice hockey referee)

Bernd Schnieder (born December 22, 1947 ) is a former German ice hockey referee . His home club was the ECD Iserlohn .

From 1974 to 1996 Schnieder was DEB referee. From the 1978/79 season he had the A license of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and was used in two Olympic Games , two A World Championships and the Canada Cup . From 2004 to 2006 he was the referee chairman of the German Ice Hockey Federation.

Bernd Schnieder is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame Germany , which is located in the German Ice Hockey Museum.

Schnieder was chairman of the Iserlohner EC Young Rooster from 2006 . He is also the founding chairman of the North Rhine-Westphalia Ice Hockey Association, which was founded in 2015 . He has been CEO of Eisadler Dortmund since October 2017 .
