Bernd Sebastian Kamps

Bernd Sebastian Kamps (born January 1, 1954 in Wuppertal - Beyenburg ) is a German doctor .

Career

Kamps studied in Cologne . He is the author and editor of numerous medical textbooks (HIV.NET, HIV Medicine, SARS Reference, Influenza Report) and language textbooks (French between the hills of Venus and the loins of Adonis).

In 1998 Kamps founded the medical internet literature service Amedeo together with his brother Stephan . Amedeo is a free English-language literature service for medicine and, according to its own information, had more than 120,000 subscribers in early 2008.

In the meantime, Bernd Sebastian Kamps operates several web portals dealing with medical topics. In 2006 he initiated the “Amedeo Textbook Award” to reward authors who offer medical textbooks as free PDF documents on the Internet. In 2007 the "Amedeo Prize" followed.
